The development of LittleBigPlanet 3 is apparently in the works, according to VG247.
The site claims that the game, which would mark the sixth LBP title of the franchise, “has now been in the works for well over a year.”
The news was broke yesterday, after unknown sources told the website that the game is being created by Sumo Digital after, “Sony and Media Molecule apparently approached the developer to make the third main title.”
Sumo Digital have already been involved with the LBP games, after developing the LittleBigPlanet 2 Cross Controller Pack last year, which allows gamers with a PS Vita to use their handheld system as a controller for the PS3 game. They also developed numerous Sega games in the past few years, most recently Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.
When approached by VG247 regarding the sources remarks, Sony neither confirmed nor denied the rumors saying only that, “We don’t comment on rumor and speculation.”
We are being led to believe then that LBP 3 is on it way but are we excited? With five games in five years is it too soon to bring out yet another Sackboy adventure? Let us know what you think below.
